Legacy Lawn Care & Landscaping was founded on a passion for building beautiful outdoor spaces and delivering exceptional service.
Owner Juan Hernandez first began working in landscaping at just 12 years old, learning the fundamentals of the trade alongside his godfather. Those early experiences sparked an appreciation for the outdoors and the satisfaction that comes from transforming a property.
By 17 years old, Juan shifted his focus from maintenance into hardscaping and outdoor construction, where he discovered a deeper passion for building patios, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces that homeowners could enjoy for years.
From 2019 to 2021, Juan worked for a design-build landscaping firm in Libertyville, gaining hands-on experience constructing high-quality outdoor living projects and seeing firsthand how well-designed landscapes can become an integral part of everyday life.
In 2021, Juan launched Legacy Lawn Care & Landscaping with his first truck — affectionately known as “Trusty Rusty.”
What started with one truck and a commitment to exceptional workmanship and honest service quickly grew through word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied clients.
Today, Legacy continues to grow with the same philosophy it was built on:
